Vasco Campos was born in Santa Maria da Feira and began classical guitar studies at ten. He entered the Paços de Brandão Academy of Music under the guidance of Professor Manuel Tavares. He completed the 8th grade at the same academy in the class of Professor Firmino Gomes, scoring nineteen points in the Instrument discipline. In 2016, he joined the Vigo Superior Conservatory of Music (Spain), where he completed his degree under guitarist Margarita Escarpa. The same year, he was awarded an honourable mention in the Paços Premium National Competition. He participated in masterclasses with guitarists Paolo Pegoraro, Marc Teicholz, David Tanenbaum, József Eötvös, Giampaolo Bandini, Đani Šehu, Dejan Ivanovic, Miguel Carvalhinho, Augusto Pacheco, and Pedro Rodrigues, among others. He also attended masterclasses with flautist Ljubiša Jovanović, baritone Bruno Pereira, guitar orchestra workshops with Miguel Carvalhinho and Hans Wilhelm Kaufmann, and the “How To Play Bach” course with Josef Eotvos. He has performed in venues such as Palacio da Ópera (Coruña), Martin Codáx Auditorium, Ourense Auditorium, Joaquim Vieira Auditorium, and Arménio Carvalho Auditorium, among others. He participated in the “III Meeting of CMUS Superiors of Galicia,” “Letras Galegas,” and “Explurart Festival.” He was a guitar teacher in Vigo (Spain) and is currently a teacher at Colégio de Lamas and other Santa Maria da Feira institutions. He holds a Master’s in Music Education from the Catholic University of Portugal.
